Integrate AskAway into the new EBSCO UI

Integrating AskAway into EBSCO can increase AskAway's visibility at your library and help students access chat support while they're researching.

To configure LibraryH3lp in the new EBSCO user interface, follow the steps in EBSCO's documentation and the LibraryH3lp documentation.

You will need the following information:

  1. Your LibraryH3lp chat queue ID:
    • This is your library's queue (e.g., ucw)
    • Contact the Admin Centre if you don't know your library's queue
  2. The URL used to launch the chat:
  3. The URL to the chat when it's offline
    • We recommend using a URL where you want to direct patrons when the chat is offline (e.g., contact us page)

Here's an example of how the integration can be set-up to display in the EDS (note: this example is using the AskAway practice queue):
